HL: Blue Shift troubleshooting

I installed HL: Blue Shift last night and I can't seem to start the game.

I'm running Half Life v. 1.1.0.6 if that helps any. Any patches or fixes? Thx.

Installed it last night, haven't played yet though. I'm playing through OpFor right now.

Do you get an error message? How far does it get? Will other Half-Life engine games run?
 
Well, I can't even load the game...I will double click on the shortcut or let the autoplay on the CD start and click "Play HL: BS" and my CD-rom starts to spin but then nothing...

Hmmm, that doesn't give ya much to go on. 😛

My first instincts would be to get the latest video drivers for my card and uninstall and reinstall the game. Also, where did you install it to? IIRC, Blue Shift is standalone and doesn't require Half-Life so if you installed it the Half-Life directory there may be a conflict.
