HIV Test. -- STD Tests?

I'm getting tested for HIV on Friday at 3.
I feel so damn nervous. 🙁
Don't get me wrong, I only do safe sex, but you never know...

Anyone here get tested regularly for STDs?

Got tested for work about a month ago (complete blood test for everything...they needed a health history) and I came back clean. I don't plan on changing that as long as I practice the safe sex I've been doing...knowing your partner and using protection.

Thought last I looked they can't test you for this kind of stuff.

yeah these tests suck. thast why after my last test (clean whew!) no more sex for a long ass time lol. its just not worth it to risk your life for short term pleasure. of course u never know when u will go either but u should live like u will have a long life. i guess.

Well its extremely important in the Army. You could be in situations where you are bleeding on someone. You dont get booted out if you turn up positive. Instead, your job changes, and you recieve medical care.

I'm guessing that the police department tests for similar reasons. Swapping blood with someone isn't impossible, especially when dealing with the scum of the earth.

Yeah. Its basically this: If you have a high probability of dealing with blood other than your own, they can test you.

Doctors, Nurses, Police, Fire, Armed Forces can all get tested so they have a baseline to work with. I plan on getting tested every year personally, because you never know...
