Hiton Virus/Spyware help.

That's probably just an HTML wallpaper - some scammer wants you to click on the link.

Check your wallpaper and change it to NONE and I bet it goes away.

I would also recommend you do a THOROUGH spyware cleaning. Adaware doesn't cut it - it's been off my radar for almost a year since they sold out to the enemy.

You also need to check for malicious BHO Helper Objects.

Follow my detailed spyware removal instructions here: http://theflyingpenguin.com/spyware-removal.shtml

when i try to access the webpage a clicksearchclick.com webpage comes up syaing Microsoft Internet Explorer has blocked the contents of the webpage but found the following links to related content(even tho I used Mozilla). any ideas? Also what do i need to do for BHO stuff? What should I use instead of ad-aware

BHO removal is explained in my link. I explain spyware removal and what apps to use in detail as well. In those instructions I recommend using Microsoft's anti-spyware if you're running WinXP. There are other programs you need to run as well.

ALL spyware, trojan and virus scans need to be performed from SAFE MODE.

It sounds like something has SERIOUSLY compromised Internet Explorer. There's nothing on my page that should be blocked. You can try booting into safe mode with networking and see if you can access my page from there. Alternately you can install Firefox from Mozilla.org and use that to browse my page (I'd do all your browsing from Firefox for now until you clean out the spyware - IE is totally compromised).

Worse comes to worse, print my instructions from another computer.

I'm going to warn you that you may have something in there that can't be easily removed so if my spyware removal instructions don't help you may need to take it to a pro or consider backing up your data and doing a clean install of Windows, but that's a last resort.

Hope this helps...
