Going to wait until the reviews. I love the video game series and the movie looks like the only thing it has in common is the soundtrack and the main character's look and MAYBE the storyline, but not his atmosphere or style of killing. Another shootem up, explosions everywhere, movie. I'm not looking for a Bad Boys II when it comes to Hitman, I'm looking for 47-getting-silent-assassin.

Olyphant (?) the Bullock guy is awesome. He's got all these random roles and it's really had to recognize him except by his voice. He's the bad guy in Die Hard, he's the pimp/director in The Girl Next Door.

It's too bad Statham didn't take this role...he'd have been much better. I like Olyphant a lot...but this role didn't suit him IMO.

I just got back from the movie...thought it was pretty bland. There was basically no suspense...and the there wasn't a whole lot of action. I've never played the video game...so can't tell ya if it compares to it or not. I'd say it's a DVD rental...that's about it.

I saw it last night. It wasn't very good. They basically took the Hitman character and stuck him in a cliche hitman movie that was probably already written.

This was pretty much what I was afraid of. I love the Hitman series and have all 4 games. But whenever Hollywood takes one of our favorite games and tries to make a movie out of it they always seem to screw over the story. I was hoping Max Payne would get made into a movie for a few years. Now I'm not so sure. :(

Shame. Hitman 2 is one of my favourite games of all time, I was hoping they would at least be able to make something passable.

Should have known better I guess... :(

Yeah. It seemed like if it the people making it had actually played and enjoyed the video game it would've been a very different movie.

It's a shame that it sounds so awful, I've only played the first Hitman but it was a great game. It could have been a great movie. As usual, it's not.

"The formula is not that far removed from James Bond except there's a hole at its center. Agent 47, played by a virtually expressionless Timothy Olyphant, is a soulless, emotionally dead protagonist."

I hate it when reviewers don't do their homework. I agree with the guy that the movie was bad, but his description of the character is exactly the way it is in the game. Had he researched the differences between the game and the movie he would've realized that this was one place they kept it true. Unfortunately, it didn't fit in with the rest of the movie they wrote.
