I have my computer with specs below overclocked to 2.5ghz, and its basically prime stable, have run blend for 24 hours and its fine, one of the other ones died after a couple of hours, but thats pretty stable for a winchester. When I play CS Source or FarCry on the other hand, I get fairly small but consistent hiccups. I am a little worried that its my ram, but have downloaded memtest and have no idea how to get it working. Does anyone have any suggestions as to what the problem may be?

Thanks

Ok well I have an idea how to use memtest, but I dont have a floppy drive hooked up right now.

Any suggestions? Other programs to check memory stability or problems? Also, I feel like prime should have used the ram in blend, and everest gave me great latency, so I just dont understand what the problem is.

Any help is greatly appriciated

There's a memtest bootable CD .iso you can burn if you don't have a floppy drive. And if ANY of the memtest or prime95 tests fail, your system is unstable.

"small but consistent hiccups", however, would make me think maybe something is running in the background and occasionally stealing CPU time or accessing the hard drive.

Any Prime95 error means your machine isn't 100% stable. It has hardware problems. I run Prime95 24/7 w/o any errors.

See if this happens with your CPU at stock, or at least a lower MHz setting. I bet it won't. ;)

It may be your hard drive. Sometimes it will freeze and go when its accessing data.
