Trilogies are becoming a hype... And after so many trilogies got worse and worse I don't know whether to look forward to this.

A trilogy like the books? Or a trilogy like Star Wars. Oh wait, that's going on six movies now... :p

It'll be a trilogy of trilogies if Lucas changes his mind

It's because not everyone has seen the tv show and heard the radio shows. And not everyone has read the book and some people actually go to movies to be entertained, not to bitch and moan about inaccuracies that were in the movie version in order to make things more digestable.

The book I think you refer to is one book which has 6 (or is it 7) books in it. This movie is based on the first book to my knowledge.

that's odd, because the trailer shows that arthur dent found love interest, and if i remember correctly, that's fanny from so long and thanks for all the fishes. isn't it?

Are you thinking of Fenchurch? Mostly Harmless was the one that dealt with that mostly. I don't think it would make a very good movie at all, but they could take elements out of it.

In movies there weren't that many in the past. A lot of movies had sequels, but those were most of the time basically copies of the original movies. LOTR had a good reason to be a trilogy, The Matrix would have been better off not being a trilogy, and some trilogy horror movie is due soon too.
