Very sweet. I RMA'd my 40GB IBM 60GXP to Hitachi and I just got the replacement today. It's a 60GB 180GXP. I'm so pleased. 😀
 
I have RMA'd 3 in the past 6 months or so and they just keep giving me more refurbed 60GXPs. Maybe they are finally catching on that the 60GXPs suck.
 
I was expecting another 60GXP...this 180GXP was built feb 2003. 😀

I hope the 180GXP turns out to be a nice drive. But, then again, I bought the 60GXP with the understanding that they had solved the problems of the 75GXP...didn't turn out to be the case
 
I just got a 180GXP 60GB. First Deskstar I've own'd so I don't have any
input as far as negative or positive. But it is very fast and pretty quiet.
I can't hear it over the noise of my fan's at all. I hope they have the problems
worked out with these drives. But so far, so good.
 
How long did it take you to get your replacement? It took 5 weeks for me to get my 60GXP replaced in the fall of 2001. Fortunately (I guess) I was using a pair in Raid 0 and I at least was able to have a working system. Very poor RMA service for me. Quantum/Maxtor on the other hand is excellent.
