Hitachi sata 7k250

Yes, they are nice drives. If I remember off the top of my head, Hitachi drives have a 3 year warranty as well... but I'd have to check to be certain.

Are those the same line of drives that had the "click of death"? I was wary of getting them, and got a Western Digital instead. Also I had a Deskstar 60GB that was dog slow before. I'd take a serious look at the Maxtor Diamondmax 10s instead. I've got one for my primary drive. They're as fast as the Raptors but at not such a price premium. They do have issues with my motherboard (A8N-SLI Deluxe), but I got that sorted out.

I have the 250 GB version of this drive & it was very easy to get set up & running. It seems to be faster than my previous PATA Maxtor 80 GB drive.

I recommend this drive.
