I aquired a Hitachi 72.8GB SCSI drive. I also have a Adaptec 2940UW controller. The HD has a 80 pin Ultra320 interface and the Adaptec has a 68 pin 68-pin UltraSCSI connection. I have a 68 pin 68-pin UltraSCSI ribbon cable. My question is is there a conversion available to match the two? Also the HD has no standard power connection like IDE drives do. So how do they get powered/ Via ribbon cable?
I wonder if the controller I have will even support the Ultra320 interface.
