Any opinions on Hitachi TV's? Yesterday I was taking my first look at them and I found a 50" Hitachi that I liked. They told me the model number is 50v810, but I can't seem to find anything about it. I am wondering if it has the new xHD3 chip, but I can't seem to figure that out. The sales guy said it was their newest DLP in stock....but I just don't trust sales guys very much. He quoted me a price to $3071 and I'm trying to figure out if that's a good price.

Any opinions greatly appreciated! 🙂
 
Hitachi only lists one TV with a model number close to that and it's an LCD TV. I don't even see any DLP's on their site. As far as I can tell, it's an LCD TV.

It's definately not an LCD, I was just looking at it. Thanks for the forums links! 🙂
 
sure as hell looks like an lcd from a quick search... we are talking lcd rear projection (not lcd direct view such as a dell 2001fp)

Humm...the sign on the display said clearly DLP.

 
No matter, after doing some research, I'm not buying a DLP TV until the xHD3 chip/7-color wheel TV's are out. Looks like that won't be until around December 1st. :frown:
