Hitachi CML174 & Battlefield 1942

Recently, I switched from a CRT monitor to the Hitachi CML174. After the switch, I find that BF1942 is almost unplayable due to flashing horizontal bands on the LCD monitor. I'm using a GeForce4 TI 4600 card. I heard that this monitor 'does' work with BF1942. Is there anybody who has this combo working and can share their various settings.

Thx,

Mitch:confused:

The monitor does work beautifully with BF 1942 (just got done playing a couple of hours). What resolution and what output are you using. Also, what drivers, settings, all that good stuff. If your only having problems with that particular game, it wouldn't me a monitor issue.

If you are running at a resolution/refresh rate that the monitor cant do, then that might be the problem. Some games ignore the monitor propeties in windows, and dont tell you the proper max resolution that it`d do in games.

Sorry to divert the thread, but I have a Planar 19" LCD, and I play tons of BF. While there is next to none ghosting, 'filmore,' do you have severe ghosting with textures/objects that are black? I find that black patches, (like in planes, or the wheels of vehicles) have severe gosting problems. Thanks

TheWart-

None that I've noticed..... none at all - no ghosting, smearing, streaking... period. I was on BF most of this morning (still trying to learn to fly) and there is nothing I can say about it's graphics on this CML174 except that it looks fantastic. I just switched from a crt to this so if there were any ghosting problems my eyes would have immediately picked up on it.
