Free shipping on everthing over $99 until 3/19/02. Ordered this fine Hitachi monitor and received a $50 discount for some Home office special or something. Who am I to question Dell? Jumped over to JumpOnDeals.com and snagged a code for additional 10% off. This added up to $125 off the price of the monitor with no shipping. Sweet!

I'm not sure that is the best deal on the page, that is a shadow mask monitor which means it may have a bit of a curve in it, you get $50 of on anything you order today, I think the SONY right below it is a better deal.21"monitor page

Actually that MultiSync FP1355 22" looks rather tasty, anyone have that monitor, how is it?

Sorry, I forgot to link the page. I think the Hitachi's a better deal mainly because it comes with a 5 year parts and labor warranty. I've had a lot of monitors give it up well before the 5 year mark. Incidently black looks and matches my black chieftec case.

Hi oneeyejack7,
Did you use the jumpondeal coupon? All in all I think we both got great deals on these monitors. Yee Ha!

I'm definitely not going to piss-and-moan about my terrific discount from $760 to $635.

yup..i used the coupon.

are any of you using a TV (a sony wega in particular) as a monitor? i'm thinking about getting a 24" sony flat screen and using that as a monitor because i think that might be cheaper. any thoughts on picture, appearance, etc using a TV as a monitor? i know you can get convertors for those things.

I have had two NEC P1250+ for almost three years. This is the best investment one can make. I am a seriously near sighted programmer so I know a lot about monitors.

To me, shadow mask monitors are preferable. SONY tubes have always caused problem with my very sensitive eyes. And by the way, EIZO high end monitors are very high quality, and they are worth the money. Definitely worth the money. I'm drooling.
