Seriously.. I put one of these in a Fujitsu P2120 notebook. Fast and quiet. No massive impact on battery life. I did eventually drop the original 40g 4500rpm drive back in tho, as I needed large portable storage more than the little speed boost from the rpm. (the 60g now resides in a small usb2 enclosure. I can hardly hear it running and the aluminum enclosure keeps it nice and chilly.

Yes. I went from an older 40GB 4200 RPM drive (now a portable backup device) to that drive. It's MUCH faster and quieter, and consumes slightly less power. I haven't noticed any heat difference at all.
