I found this while looking around at Circuit City's website. Reviews seem to be good and the flaw with the previous model is said to be fixed. Also from what I remember Hitachi is a great brand in TV.
Hitachi 50VS69
The TV is 999 and you can get it to 899 with the 10% off coupon on ebay. I just got the print out earlier for the 899 + Tax.
If you really want it cheap you can try to price match it to Sears who is selling it for $1425 and they will give you 10% off the difference. So it should be $847 if you can get Sears to honor it. It is the same TV but Circuit City added a "A" to the end of their model number
