Anyone have any personal experience with this? All of the ones available on ebay dont list the D70 in the compatible camera list but I dont know why it wouldn't work. Thanks.

I'm told the D70 would work with the microdrive.

However, be aware that muvos made in the last 3 months or so use modified microdrives that are not compactflash compatible - these drives do not work in *any* cameras.

i heard about that but some guy in the Hot Deals forum said he had 'harvested' about 50 in the last month and they had all worked. oh well.

I'm told that you can identify the 'modified' microdrives by their code number.

The older drives have part numbers that end in 43B - these have been verified to work in a number of different cameras. The new drives have numbers that end in 44C - these have been verified not to work in any cameras.

You could ask if he could send you the markings on the drive - if it is a 43B then you have a reasonable chance. Personally, I'd ask if he'd take it back minus a few bucks for time/shipping if it didn't work. If it does work, he can add the D70 to his compatability list.
