Hitachi 42" Plasma

How is this for a sub $1000 tv? BB's Link / Manufacturer's Link

I will be using it mainly to watch dvd movies, HD programs and maybe hook up an htpc in the future.It will be located in my bedroom replacing a very old 32" CRT.The viewing distance is approx 8ft.Feedbacks would be much appreciated.

Compared to a 32" Tube, it will look GREAT. Nice price for a 42" Plasma but a lot of these sets have flickering issues according to the TV thread on AVS.
