hitachi 180gxp possible issue?

ok i have exchanged this hard drive many times so i dont know if its a defect but i dont think it is. when im using it for music/aim suddenly when im using it it makes this sound like its powering down and then back up but nothing happens and it contiunes working like normal. also when im transfer huge amounts of data the hard drive clicks like crazy, is this normal for this series?
 
yea, but then i exchanged it 3 times and all have the same type of sound. it dosent affect the performance or lags at all but it just produces those sounds.
