Hit the track last night

Not too many, since it wasn't really packed last night, but there were some cool cars

My Shadow is sidelined right now, and the Shelby is currently unregistered, so I didn't have anything to run 🙁

But it was still a fun night, my buddy's WS6 was running great, it's the red one in the pics, that's what we rode to the track in. My other friend brought hit turbo Caravan, totally stock with 212K on it, and pulled a 15.8 with a *very* tired clutch, he was pretty psyched. He was getting TONS of compliments on it too, I thought that was pretty funny and so didn't he. "The damn thing's not that fast, I don't know why everyone loves it so much!?". His other car is a high-11 second 88 Shelby CSX. There weren't many imports there other than some DSMs and WRXs with a few EVOs there... Normally the track is packed with 16 second Hondas but I guess it's a little too early in the season for that...

Anyways, on with the pics, would've gotten more if there were more cars there but the track was pretty empty:

There was a Monte Carlo (I believe) running low low 8's, I think he knew someone at the track and he was just tuning... so there were other race cars there 😀

Oh believe me, I know they're popular (I'm a turbo Dodge guy myself), and they're gaining popularity as of late....

And the RX-8 was in the 14's, can't remember his exact times though, he knew how to launch the thing nicely, I remember that.... frankly I couldn't be so brutal with a brand new car unless it wasn't mine 😛

You are correct sir! It was dark and all I looked for were the 5 lug hubs (and it had them?! No Civics have 5 lug hubs right? Must've been a swap?)

high 14's? That's pretty good for a car w/ only ~190 whp 😉
As for a new car, after the break in period for the car you gotta drive a car like that hard. I mean why purchase a sports car if you're not gonna have fun? 😀
I dyno'd my car @ 1150 miles, just couldn't wait.

It's hard to see from the pic but it looks like there's 4 lugnuts. (You were there so you know better than I do) But yea, afaik all Civics use a 4 lug pattern.

15.8 for a stock turbo caravan is pretty damn good. I am thinking my not so stock turbo caravan will be doing good to hit 15 flat but who knows I may break into the 14s. Just have to fix my pesky trans pan leak this weekend.

That's not a Z06. Like I said earlier, it's a regular C5 😛 I'd take the Cobra over the C5 anyday 😛
