but 50 more mhz and i get errors after a few hours

did i hit the ceiling with my venice? i'm pumping 1.57 actual volts and i dont really want to go higher on the vcore

well it works but the way mem speed is calculated becomes weird.

i'm not a fan of the half mults myself.

and yes, i think you've hit a wall with that chip.

you could always try 1.6 to see if you can get to 2.7 but that's up to you!

with any chip i have, i won't run more than 1.6 on water.

They do, It's just that the memory multipliers are such that it usually doesn't makes sense to run the half-multipliers.

The memory will run at the clock speed divided by some integer regardless of the bus speed or the multiplier. In this case 2601/x.

Usually you can get the same memory speed and CPU speed at an integer multiplier, so it doesn't make sense to use the half multiplier.

When boards were mostly giving options for memory speed of only 133, 166, 200 it sometimes made sense to run a half multiplier to get an in-between memory speed, but now that most boards are giving more memory speed options there isn't much point to running the half multipliers.
