It'll happen again with the same likelihood if nothing is done to improve things. More driver education? Public education campaign about driving safely? Pulling licenses earlier for bad driving? Stronger anti-drunk driving measures?

I'm all for capping those guys in the back of the head, in public, maybe even on national television. But then again, I'm not known for being politically correct, and my left-leaning compatriots here might think of me as being cruel and unusual.

The sad thing is that the driver of the vehicle that hit these innocent folks is only going to be charged with vehicular homocide. If he were drunk (and there's nothing in either story saying that), I might see that as a feasible charge against this moron. Since he was sober, there should be a charge of murder against him, with every possibility of the death penalty as the punishment. Start proving to people that they're resposible for their actions, and they might start BEING resposible for their actions!! :|

He was drunk.

Through court documents, 9NEWS has confirmed the driver in Friday's tragic hit-and-run admitted to being drunk, knew he hit pedestrians and attempted to hide his truck from police.

I can only imagine how that survivor must feel, his whole family killed and he couldn't do anything...he is going to have a rough time.
