I just found out that someone put a huge scratch on my car (diameter of 1.2ft) in the parking lot. Normally, if someone hits the car, he or she has to leave a note. Unfortunately, this was not the case. What shall I do?

call your insurance company... only real option you have at this point. if by chance there was a camera trained on your at the time or someone happened to witness it (and you found them), you may have other options, but at this point, looks like the asshole wins.

no they don't...if they have any type of decency and courtesy, then yes, they would probably leave a note, but in this day and age, my guess is that this would be pretty rare.
