And tore up my front, driver side bumper. The base of those orange road pylons is pretty dense and it did a number on my car. I'm not a happy camper.

It was in the MIDDLE OF THE FREEWAY. It was dark and by the time I saw it - boom - too late.

:'( Cry for me?

That's happened to me before. I managed to slow down a little bit so it only bent my front license plate back.

About 2 months ago I was driving in the carpool lane and there was a table in the middle of the road. Lucky for me I managed to spot it far away and it was late enough at night for me to swerve out the way and not hit a bunch of traffic.

Did you move it or let anyone know?

as soon as you said 'freeway' i knew exactly where you were from.

Why's that? There are signs all over Pennsylvania that refer to "freeway." OP, how was it oriented? I'm assuming it was laying on it's side... Was the base toward you, horizontal left to right, or bright fluorescent part of the cone pointing toward you? In one of those cases, I can understand not seeing it until it's too late. In the other two cases, pay attention to the road!

Yeah - the base of it was facing me and that's what I assume did most of the damage to my bumper. Even if I had seen it a little faster than I did, there were cars on either side of me so quickly jinking out of the way was not an option. Lose lose, really. Boo.

I didn't move it. That would have been suicide. No way I'm getting out of my car when it's dark on the freeway. My dad was in the car and he called the CHP I think.
