During the '20s, the US did not join the League of Nations nor did it get heavily involved in internations politics. OTOH, President Coolidge strongly advocated a policy of "letting business run business" at home.

In the 2nd question, all of those occurred. The rush of technology that occurred in the '20s was mind-boggling. Overnight the US went from horse-and-buggy to car-and-radio.
