I don't understand the obsession with RT. Pick a critic who tends to rate movies the way you would and then go off of their judgement. Even then they aren't always right. Ebert is usually good enough for me but he's often given movies a less than stellar rating when I found the movie to be plenty entertaining and well worth the price of admission, and then there are the times when the movie is rated higher than I would agree with...

I hate movie theaters. I went to see serenity this weekend. AWESOME movie, but the seats sucked (yes i could've gotten there earlier) and the sound was all screwy. I paid $10 for that. Why don't people rate movies by how many tickets are sold, NOT by how much money they bring in.

i want to see it too, but i'm slightly disillusioned with rt now that i know how they rate movies (pure % of positive reviews) and how it "gave" redeye 81% (though i suppose that's a fault of the critics themselves, not the site). i think metacritic is probably a better measure of the quality of movies (& music), but i still find myself agreeing with rt most of the time.
