I went to the Vietnam Memorial Wall yesterday with my father-in-law. As we're looking for some of the guys he served with, this teenager walks by and says, "Are any of these guys still alive?" <facepalm>

Another lady asked my father-in-law "how many of these guys died in Iraq."

Wow.

I have absolutely no trouble believing those quotes. People are STUPID. Some days I really believe that Idiocracy is an accurate prediction of the future.
 
Been to that place... same thing happened for me. Kinda sickening that people don't know but what can you do?
