Did anyone else watch the History Channel show about the Roanoke investigation they did?
Normally I try to avoid these shows (like the ghost hunters or monster hunters) because they never find anything, and if they did, it would be national or international news, but I didn't have anything else to watch at the time. Its a lot like click bait on the web.
So basically they find nothing new to really further the investigation besides some Native American pottery up river.
Then 2 weeks later they find that some other group investigated an area across the river from their area and found more artifacts.
Again, seems nothing conclusive though.
My question is why don't these groups work together? They have the same goal, but they work separately. I'm sure that if they combined knowledge and resources, they might get a bit further? Or is it not really about finding the truth or history of what happened, but the glory and fame of being the first to actually discover it?
