HIS X800XL question

I'm planning to build my own system, however I still haven't chosen the brand for my GPU. I'm looking at MSI, HIS, PowerColor, and Sapphire Ultimate as my choices and leaning torwards HIS. It appears that all the X8xx series GPUs can be redeemed for a $100 crossfire coupon at the ATI site. However, it appears they left off HIS in the registration... does this mean a HIS card is not eligible for the coupon, or ATI just haven't been doing their job...

(Granted, crossfire might not turn out as spectacular as they say it will be, but it will still be nice to have a $100 coupon in hand as an option.)

I believe the Crossfire cards themselves are the ones that get you the MIR. You need the UPC from the box.

Well, this is what they have on their site:

----------------------------

How to redeem;

1. Purchase your CrossFire Ready product today
2. Register for your $100.00 USD e-coupon
3. Buy a CrossFire Edition graphics card by September 29th.
4. Mail in the completed e-coupon and the UPC code from your CrossFire Edition graphics card.
5. Receive a check for $100.00 USD by mail within 8 weeks.

CrossFire Ready Graphics Cards:

1. Radeon® X850 Platinum Edition, Radeon® X850 XT, Radeon® X850 PRO
2. Radeon® X800 XT Platinum Edition, Radeon® X800 XT, Radeon® X800 XL , Radeon® X800 PRO, Radeon® X800, Radeon® X800 SE

------------------------------------

From what I understand there, crossfire ready cards and crossfire edition cards are not the same thing.

Apparently, you first buy a X8xx series card, register it online, and receive a e-coupon. Then, you buy that crossfire card, print out that e-coupon, and fill it out before mailing it back in. After all that trouble, you will then receive a $100 check.

Sounds like a ton of trouble for $100. Sad thing is, we don't even know if those crossfire edition cards will even be out by 9/29/2005 🙁
