If you do decide to go HIS, don't forget to add on the extra $50 for the Monarch 6-month warrantee... HIS doesn't do their own RMA should you have a problem, and if you don't give Monarch the extra $50 they won't take your card back either. If you get a defective card and don't have the warrantee, you will end up dealing with a company called Lexy Pacific Corp, who is Monarch's HIS supplier. My RMA for an X1900XTX has been going on for about a month now, and I still haven't gotten my card back. Personally, I don't recommend HIS.

edit: I haven't gotten my MIR yet either...

thank you, I'll keep that in mind

newegg has better RMA terms, but will cost me $40 in tax
I'm thinking about HIS just for IceQ as I don't want to deal with ATI ref HSF

What nitro said is true.

However, if you end up with a good card, you've already got one good air cooling method on it.

If you're going to overclock, then you might want to get a card that has better service.

Maybe Powercolor.

I got my HIS X1900XTX from Monarch and have had no issues w/ the card. But I would go w/ Newegg even if costs a little more for the customer support.

Nice find. I hadn't seen an X1900 series with the IceQ3 cooler yet. Let us know how the acoustics of the card are.

That's a very decent deal BTW.

I have the HIS X1900XTX with the stock cooler & so far have had no problems, although I bought mine from Newegg back when they had the $50 rebate deal going & I still havn't gotten my rebate check either ... still even without the rebate it set me back only $439 (had a $50 apology-credit leftover from X'mas) so I can't really complain.
The card overclocks to the max settings in the ATI driver with no problems at all (havn't pushed it further) and despite all the horror-stories about noise levels from the stock cooler, in my well-vented full tower its not bad at all ... I'd say $419 is a really good deal for an XT with that cooler, but if you want the best warranty service I'd go with a Powercolor retail card for their lifetime warranty.

I have a HIS xtx that i bought from monarch and recieved my rebate a while back. The card is still going strong and the noise levels arent too bad either.
