HIS HD 6850 - running at 90 degrees

Is it normal? Speedfan shows the temperature at around 88 - 92. I though it was too high... how much does you VGA run at?

Should I be worried, look at some alternative cooling?

Damn...I don't like it if my GTX460 hits 60C. I know that means it's time to blow the dust out again.

How's the air flow in the case?
Sounds like maybe you could use more/better.

That's what I thought. I monitored it for a couple of days after initial built, speedfan reported these temps. After that that I installed ASUS mobo utilities and since them speedfan cannot defect anything at all. I will try again with some other utils, guess I need separate cooling for the VGA... I hope I don't void warranty.

air flow should be good in the case, its a Antec 300 with 4 fans (1x200 top, 1x120 back and 2x120 front) all running at around 1000 rpm...

You shouldn't need aftermarket cooling to run a stock setup. Could speedfan be off? What temp does the AMD control center tell you?

Also check to make sure the fan on the card works. If it does and those are the actual temps, RMA it, you card is defective.

I guess I am OK. Speedfan (4.44) cannot detect anything anymore, it just sees I hdd. The ATI monitor shows 40 degrees. I guess speedfan was detecting something wrong...

Is there anything else, any other 3rd party tool that displays all temperatures?
