This is one of those, "Its my wifes friends kid on youtube" sort of requests.

His grade is affected by how many views they get, so could as many of you as possible click on this link and watch this please? It is a science experiment, runs under 3 minutes, you don't even have to watch just let it run in a new window ;)

Aaron is on the right.

Thanks ATOT, I know you will help this kid get a fine grade :)

Watching :p

EDIT: Is this some sort of new food pyramid with Vegetables and Fruit below Grain? I know that the government came out with a new one vs. the old one, but that one is vertical divisions.

I also want to watch The Apprentice now.

That is all.

I'm not clicking simply out of spite. Please tell me that education hasn't retarded itself to the point where grades are divied out based upon momentary internet popularity.

This is a prime example of piss poor teaching. Why should a child's grade be based on YouTube views?

Have to agree it is a horrible way to assign grades. What if the child doesn't have a good "network" of online resources/contacts? I'm sorry Johnny your working cold fusion experiment was technically sound, but only 3 people watched it on the net, you fail... lol

Retarded that his grade depends on this. I hope the teacher googles the URL to the video and reads this. Screw you buddy!

Btw, youtube never loads videos here, but i opened it up.

How many other kids have a forum of 200,000 people who are willing to click on his video 50 times? You should go rip this teacher's head off.

Maybe the grade is based on social engineering, or the 'internet affect' or something of the like. Maybe it's not based soley on how many views he can get, but on the example it creates of internet news/sharing.

You guys are harsh! :p

And he said the grade was "affected" by the view count, but didn't say by how much. And I think it's a relevant assignment for today's kids, but I think I would have chosen something besides YouTube....but maybe the OP can get us more details on the assignment?

Thanks again for the help everyone. I have to agree with most of your comments, but you might as well earn a few Karma points and help the poor kids out lol.

"The increased atmospheric pressure of the water will collapse the can" - Sounds like the teacher has as much knowledge as a typical 7th grader. "The particles of air expand"

Sadly, after listening to the teacher in that video, I can understand how she thinks that grading based on youtube hits is a good idea. Pretty sad.
