I think I've decided on either an XFX 5750 or a sapphire or HIS 5770 both at newegg.
5750 - 140 right now
5770 about 160

From what I've googled sapphire warranty seems horrible. If something goes wrong with the sapphire card they charge you a "fee" for transportation (back to asia) so it's like $50 to get the card fixed or a refurbished replacement.
I have been unable to find anything about HIS's support however and I've combed their website and can't even find any legal language. Anyone have any experience with them?
Both have 2 year warranties.

Any info is much appreciated even if it's a horror story.

I want the faster speed of the 5770 if it's just a $20 bump, but getting support after the 30 day return period is also important to me. XFX the only company I know which has a lifetime warranty selling these is at 180, and 20 seems a bit high for just a better warranty.
So I'm also considering giving up the speed of the 5770 for 20 savings and warranty unless the 5770 is really much faster.

Non vapor 4870 512mb. It would work fine with the fan installed, without the fan I would get BSODs. I ended up plugging the fan in and watercooling it. I think it was a voltage problem. After a couple weeks the BSODs showed up even with the fan installed.

thanks I was just worried about getting support after 30 days. If they've got a place in CA then I have no problems with just 2 years.

I had a x1900 from sapphire go on me because I "think" I had a crap power supply. Though I changed the fan/heatsink on it, I reinstalled the old fan/heatsink on it and send it back for the warranty. They honored the warranty though I did not tell them about it. Since they had no x1900 left they send me a 2900 hd pro. But if the card comes with a rebate, dont plan on getting it, I have brought 2 cards from them and have yet to get a rebate back from them(though I'm pretty sure they arent the only ones).

As for HIS I hear good things about them...so I would not worry about it.

Good luck with your 5770 or your 5750!!!

HIS was pretty good. They wanted me to RMA a 4870 that I bought from Newegg based on a review I posted. I declined and returned it to Newegg for exchange/refund in order to get a 4890 a month later.
