HIS 9800 Pro iceQ artifacts help please

I just got my new card a his 9800 pro and I get green squares and games like doom 3 have squares all over it. purple lines around some applications. I installed the lastest via 4in1 drivers and lastest ati cards and older ones. I turned hardware acc down 1. could my mobo need flashing ? I have a 450w power supply, MSI KT4AV KT400 mobo agp 3.0 standard. I had a ati 8500 in before and it ran fine, got this one and the games got black blocks (doom3) and the w2k load screen has green squares. I thought about flashing the video card also. I need help big time before I go crazy :brokenheart:

Don't flash the video card!! It seems like a heat issue or a bad card, try it in a friends computer and if it doesn't work RMA it if it's under warranty.

Try running Driver Cleaner first to make sure you don't have any old drivers causing you trouble. Then install the ATI drivers again. If that doesn't help, it's probably RMA time.

im going to try flashing my bios on my mobo since it is a outdated version 10/3/03 and the newer one is from august of this year. my motherboard is a kt4av kt400a. The video card I had in there before was really old 8500 LE. I hope this works
