Odd you'd say that unless you don't realize that the XFX mentioned is a Seasonic built power supply, based on the same platform used for the PCP&C Silencer 610.



As for the combo, nice find. Personally, I'd have gone for the HIS video card I mentioned and the Antec TPN-750, which is going for $95 AR and shipped free, too. Total cost.....$365 with a little more powerful ps that's also a Seasonic build and highly regarded.
 
I'm still amazed the 5850 is going to draw less power then my current 8800GT that I have on an antec TPII 550w. If the psu wasn't built on pc power & cooling and have had favorable reviews I was actually going to get a corsair psu.

Well, hate to burst the bubble, but the only thing PCP&C about that XFX was the pcb.....that had PCP&C's name silkscreened on it. If you look at the power supply opened up and compare it to a Corsair HX620 or PCP&C Silencer 610, you'd see that the pcb and component layout, outside the differing heatsinks on the PCP&C, are exactly the same.

XFX is simply getting some leftover pcb's, silkscreened with PCP&C's name, that were in Seasonic's stock after OCZ cancelled the contract with Seasonic to produce Silencer power supplies. So, going with Corsair would have given you the same thing internally, if you purchased the HX620.
 
Very tempting deal for me as an upgrade from my 4870 with only 512mb. I have a feeling that I will bite on this deal unless they run out of stock before I make my mind up.

I see the card has a two year warranty but when I go to the HIS site they don't give too much info om the warranty. It appears to start when the card was manufactured but I'm not sure about that?
