Basically im building a new rig which will consist of the following

q6600 stepping
8800gts 512mb
2 hds
2 dvd drives
asus p5ke motherboard
2ghz ram

do you think i will have problems with my Hiper 525W ?

PSU label

The psu is heavy on the 3.3V & 5V rails, therefore the 12V rail is low (30A) for a 525W psu. However it should be able to power your rig just fine.

Thanks for your reply guys..

but lets say its not enough ..

what are the consequences?? can i risk doing damage to any of my parts other than the psu?

We can "what if" all day, but in the end if a psu pops, has out of spec voltages, or possibly a nasty ripple, then it could nuke other hardware. If I were you I would spring for a quality 80+ psu (ex. any Seasonic built psu) since you can afford a Quad & G92.

Wooohoooo, your rig will be like a American car, lotsa horsepower, stellar looks, but plastic from the inside 😛
