Hints For Burning Music/Audio CDs

Some guy that I bought some hardware for is threatening not to pay me if I can't help him learn how to burn music CDs.

His iomega zipCD burner either burns only one track or exits with "...SCSI..." or "...ASPI..." error messages.

What's the most sure fire way to burn a complete audio CD with adaptec easy cd creator 4?

I have found burning it to a hard drive first eliminates most problems I've seen. you don't have those bus comunication problems.

Copy the CD, but have EZ CD copy the files to the hard drive first. Or you can use cd ripping software like CDex (www.cdex.n3.net) to rip the tracks into wave files (make sure you have the hard drive space first) and then burn the waves onto a CD.

Screw him and take him to court for not paying you and let DA take care of him with his pirating schemes....😛

It's not your responsibility to teach him. Are you going to take that bullshit? Normally I WOULD help someone do that if they bought hardware through me, but if they ever said anything like that, I would demand my money and just say f*ck 'em.

Jason--I feel for ya. I will probably be getting hit up shortly from a guy I'm selling a system to at a bargain price. Basically, he's getting the burner free. But, I'm letting him know up front that I'll supply lotsa links and answer questions, but will only actually do the stuff if I have time, and he's checked the links.

You might try some links at www.cdrinfo.com for info. From there, you can go to McFadden's site, etc. Since it's Adaptec, you might try their newsgroups/FAQ's. I guess maybe that's what they are good for.

I just re-read your post. I think I'd go over to "help" him, grab my stuff up & tell him to get it somewhere else. Course, I wouldn't be quite that nice about it.
