Hinges on a 17 inch Laptop

Hello, I was wondering the hinges that support the 17 inch screen is durable? I am so paranoid about it breaking I need to ask you guys for help. Will it break if you open and close it often?

There are too many laptops out there for that to be a general problem this late in the design cycle. That said, manufacturers make mistakes so check the reviews for the models that interest you.

For more info, I just searched Google for laptop hinge problem. There are some links about problems with specific models.

Then, get a padded carrying case, and remember... they are plastic, they are fragile, and gravity and physics are not your laptop's friend.
