CAMDEN, N.J. -- A convicted bank robber who told a prison psychologist he wanted to "spice up" his life by shooting a famous person has admitted threatening to kill U.S. Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, officials said.

Edward Falvey, 51, pleaded guilty in the last week to a charge of threatening to kill an immediate family member of a former president, a federal crime that carries a penalty of up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. No sentencing date has been set, according to Greg Reinert, a spokesman with the U.S. Attorney's office.

That's funny, that's what popped into my head as soon as I finished the first sentence. :)

To be fair, he has toned down his Clinton-bashing considerably.

If he killed Clinton, she would turn into a liberal martyr. I don't think anyone would want that, even the killer.

Besides, being the wife of a President, she should have top-notch Secret Service. Whether or not they'd take a bullet for her is another story.

sorry for being bitchy

This is not EU Brussels politics, where people are expected to be nice and behave in a certain manner of predictability. This is American politics, it doesn't get any nastier. If you don't like it you can always leave or not participate.

Ummmm...the EU parliment is way nastier than anything you are likely to see in the states. Same goes for most European parliments.

Not from what I've seen. They must've behaved on the day I was there. To me, everyone looked like an assembled group of scientists from a Marvin the Martian cartoon flick with their opaque/dense glasses.

I just expect some common decency, is that too much to ask?
