If the general election nominees is between Republican billionaire Donald Trump versus Democrat Hillary Rodham Clinton in 2016, who would win the presidential election in your honest opinion and why? Who will win the black, white, Latino, Asian vote? Who'd be their VPs?

You are asking this question in a mostly liberal forum. What kind of answer are you expecting?

I want to hear both sides. Civil debate. I want to hear from liberals, socialists, conservatives, centrists, libertarians, apolitical people, etc.

I'm going with the odds here, nothing more, nothing less.

That being said, for the fact that this run on the presidency has been hijacked by Mr. Trump, something really weird happening before November is a distinct possibility.

Too early to tell, but I think Trump will start bashing on Clinton(who no one really likes either) and the momentum will carry him to a victory.

Most people here are conservative, or at best moderate.

Clinton is a Republican running on the Democrat ticket.

So you're saying most folks here believe opposite of what they post, hence, are just trolling all of us? ;)

I think most Americans will hold their nose and choose Clinton. Trump is just a child and his schtick won't last past the Tea Party crowd.

According to recent "projections", for what it's worth, both, HRC or Bernie will beat T *significantly*.

I believe that liberals are so intellectually certain of the superiority of their ability to reason that they are almost always wiped out by a charismatic that speaks to what people feel. I think Trump may destroy Clinton just as he is destroying his opponents against enormous resistance from the Republican establishment. Of the six or more moral concerns conservatives have the superior advantage to have, liberals understand only two of them. What this means is that conservatives understand liberals way better than liberals understand conservatives and that is why, even if they are nuts, will defeat them. Liberals are consistently beaten by their own arrogance.

Of course, of course, it would be insane for Trump to win. He's so intellectually inferior.

Anybody see Hillary burning with moral passion or does she look to be running robotically to fill out her resumé.

Mmm not so much. It is very possible you have moved so far to the right that even the ghost of Reagan hugs trees?

I haven't moved anywhere, since I voted for George McGovern. j/k (I wasn't old enough to vote then) :)

I'm sure glad polls around here aren't really representative of the real world.

why a multiple choice poll?

since it was I selected all three.

in all honesty I really don't care for either one. given that choice I'll go third party again.

When was the last time a third party candidate got elected? Nice token gesture, however, but you might as well just stay home, as it won't matter either way.

Better than leaving it blank, there are other races besides president and usually some ballot measures I might be interested in.

If you're worried about your vote mattering in a presidential election then voting for one of the two major parties is functionally as meaningless as voting for any third party. For all intents and purposes your vote is meaningless no matter who you vote for.

Noooo, I thought my vote mattered, now it doesn't? Noooooo! I'm going to go cry myself to sleep.

Yesssssss, it's true, our votes don't matter. We are not in the parlance of those who eat crisp fried crow's feet, lark's tongues, and drink vintage kruge, we just ain't royal enough.

Small voting sample but it reflects what many pollsters and pundits predict.
65%
35%
2%
Write it down. Look at in November. If accurate it makes you wonder about all the steam and thunder and money spent between now and then.

Well it seems odd for you to tell someone voting third party that they might as well stay home when the same thing is true for you?

I can't imagine any likely scenario where a candidate gets 65% of the vote.
