Hilfinger vs. Hilfiger

Am I the only one that thought for the longest time that Tommy Hilfiger was not pronounced Tommy Hilfinger? I mean I have been wearing some of these clothes for a while and just figured that out a short time ago.

I used to think it was Tommy Hilfinger too. On an ever sadder (on my part) note I used to think Abercrombie & Fitch was Abercrombie & Finch . I know i know, I'm not the quickest bullet in the gun...

My brother gave me a great cap last year; the front reads "Tommy Pulfinger" in the Hilfiger logo. Goes right by most people who read it.

There's a CS prof at Cal named Hilfinger and I thought his name was Hilfiger for the longest time.

I see absolutly no point in designer clothing other then "oh wow look what johnny is wearing" social status caste system blah!!!!!!!!!
