Ive seen much sketchier trails at red river gorge. Those pics are very nice though, thanks.

that sign (in pic 1) looks like something out of a horror movie.

That sign shouldn't be there. At least u have a trail. I hiked Old Rag Mountain in VA a few years ago. Its a really boring switchback trail up to near the summit, where you have to climb over rocks, jump over 30 ft crevices, slip down into 10 ft crevices, and scamble around a rounded ledge where I missed step and u slide down a 60 degree 100 ft slope (could be fun, but a litteral pain in the ass). In any case, GREAT scenery on that trail. I think a small forest fire happended before I hiked old rag as there was a lot of scorched brush on the way up.

Well yes but I hear Everest is harder than that. For being a "public park" style hiking path its pretty harsh.

As for the last pic, I plan on sending it out to get printed large size and framing it.

Photo chop that walkway out of the Ash cave pic, and it is positively brilliant. :)

The red river gorge here in Kentucky? If so, I lived about 25 minutes from there growing up (still live within an hour from there), been there plenty of times. I would just find it odd that a man from Washington as your profile says would have found his way to my part of the forest.

They should pave it all over and build condos, shopping malls, etc.

Imagine the profits...

:)

Planned on it actually. There were already 5 people and a dog removed ;)
Can you post a higher resolution version of the last pic? I would make for a great wallpaper too.

Awesome, I love Cincy. I live in Richmond, near Lexington myself. I haven't been to the Gorge/Natural Bridge in quite sometime, but used to camp there all time with the family growing up. We'd do the campground thing though, not out in the woods with just some bugs and a fire :). Beautiful country indeed. Where I work, we had a guy start about 5 months ago who is from Mass, and has only lived here about 7 months so far. Out job has required us to travel into the mountains a little on some occassions, and he is always awed by the amount of open space and trees :D. He's already converted by the beauty of the area. Unfortunately, I'm spoiled, and do not enjoy the scenery when I'm traveling to families houses and running around for work.

That last one is definitely a beautiful shot. :) Desk top worthy. If you don't mind, I would like to save that. :)

I went hiking today myself, love doing that. Relaxing, at times it was so quiet, peaceful.
