DAMN! That was hard! It took me, my cousin, and my uncle 5 1/2 hours to reach the summit! We stayed overnight at this hut. Then the next day we hiked down. Man am I tired! Anyone else ever try hiking(NOT DRIVING/TAKING TRAIN) it?

What trails did you take?

Tuckerman's Ravine-->Lion's Head on the way up and I don't remember the one on the way down.

PS I'll have pics in a week or so, my uncle has to e-mail 'em to me.

Was there still snow at Tuckerman's?

People can usually ski well into June up there if you're willing to hike.

No snow at Tuckerman's..however near the top, we saw on another part of the mountain some snow. The cool part was, there was a extreme hiker guy on the snowy part, and he climbed to the top of the snowy part and skied his way to the bottom, it was really cool.

Cool. I did that back in the 60's. I'll never forget the wind over the scruffy rocks part, way way up. Felt like it would blow me off the mountain.

I did the same route. It was a good hike. You might want to think about hiking Mt. Katahdin now. Now that is a spectacular climb, especially the Knife's Edge trail.
