I know I know, you can get a retail for 212.00. I wanted the cooling of top & bottom sinks and vga silencer and did not want to mod my card voiding warranty and risk screwing it up which would be my luck. This also comes with halflife coupon. Add it up and you decide if its a deal. I ordered it. Nice looking card and its editors choice several places including 3d guru. 1 year warranty.

Lets say 20 bucks for silencer and 16 bucks for 8 ram sinks added to retail sapphire since we are factoring in halflife, that makes about 261.00 after adding to a retail sapphire for 225.00 and now add in halflife which is now posted eta by valve sometime after april 04 and by this summer. 269.00-261.00= 8 bucks

i think that's a decent deal buck. after having this 9800p in my rig for a few weeks, i'm really surprised it runs as hot as it does, even at stock speeds (about 8c above my 5900 @ full load). i've been pondering getting that vga cooler myself, tho it's always puzzled me why they run heated air from inside the across the chipset rather than pulling cool air in from outside the case... that's the only reason i haven't ordered one yet, and of course the "voiding" the warranty thing...

Good deal. $40 for HL2 brings you down to $229, and I think it's worth $20 for the VGA Silencer and a valid warranty. Not bad at all, especially if it OCs as well as most ppl say.

No HL2 means not such a great deal. Still good, though, for those who don't want to muck around with swapping in their own VGA Silencer.
