Installed this raid card, tried to do Raid 0 but no go. Tried sharing 1 cable (Master & Slave) & separate cables (Master/Master) but no go. Whenever doing a clean install, it gets errors, windoes protection error etc....
After updating the Bios to HPT latest reference Bios, there is no errors while doing a clean install Win98SE but after installation, they can't find some files and after 2-3 bootups, i get windows protection error out of nowhere, after which the raid card automatically erases the raid 0 setup and i cannot boot from my HDD anymore.
My non-overclock system:
1ghz (266)
Iwill KK266
PC133 512mb
V7700 Deluxe
300W Antec PS
2x 15GB maxtor DiamondMax +45
CD & DVD-Roms
Nothing wrong with cable, when both HDDs are sharing the same cable(master/Slave) and i did not set it on raid, i can install Win98SE with no problems.
And advice appreciated.

Everything went smooth, but AFTER installing the VIA Service Pack 4 in 1 drivers(v4.25 & v4.30) and they prompt to reboot..... during the reboot, my raid setup disappears and there is invalid system disk, the raid setup was erased and i cannot read from my HDD, must Fdisk/format again!!
is there anything i can do about the VIA Service Pack?
