Hi, thanks for reading.

I started a thread in HT and asked some questions about piping finishes. I actually got some great responses but during my research decided I wanted to ask some other, IMO related, questions. Unfortunately I'm not getting very much traffic :( Not begging for more info here but I do have a few questions about etiquette as I want to avoid spamming things up if possible.

- Is it OK to bump the thread once it falls off the front page?
- Is it OK to either move the same thread to the OT or create a new thread asking the same question? If I create a new thread in the OT may I have the old thread locked up and allowed to die? The reason for this is OT seems to get quite a bit more traffic and this is maybe a broader, less technical question.

Thanks again.

1) There aren't any hard rules about bumping in HT. I'd say you can bump it once. If it still doesn't attract any attention, let it die.

2) Moving or creating a new thread in OT is fine. Let us know what you'd like to do.

After mulling it over a fair bit I think the best course of action would be to lock my original HT thread and start fresh in the OT.

If it gets moved to OT I think it's going to get confusing for people just popping into the thread. Also this will allow me to really focus in on what I'm asking and be super clear on the question.

Much obliged!
