It was the first comedy commercial I actually laughed at in a very long time.

Commercials look good. I'm not a big fan of Jim Carrey. Liked Bruce Almighty though, maybe he is becoming a viable comedy actor.

Maybe for some people. I didn't even smirk at any of his movies before Bruce.

who do you smirk at than? Even my grandma laughed at parts of ace ventura saying "he is so stupid I can't help but laugh".

Actually Ebert has lost a lot of weight and they usually split with half ass decent movies, Rotten Tomatos rating is pretty telling too, only 28% with just the readers evals.

This movie sucked. Barely anyone in the theater was laughing. Out of the seven people that went to see it with me, only two girls found it funny.

I think thats part of the problem. I don't really enjoy "slap-stick" comedy. Or comedy where people just act like morons.

wow, in our theater, it was non-stop laughter 😕

well, ok, the only time people stopped laughing was the indicted scene...everyone stop laughing for just that scene 😉
