I'm trying to track down a 192 dpi monitor at work. I know they exist but I can't find one. Also trying to keep it small. Something under 30".

Ultra-high resolution is neat, but those are only prototypes right now. Not looking for info on those.

dpi is printer speak. dpi = dots per inch right? Resolution is the term we use here :). 192 dpi isn't possible either since no number multiplied by itself equals 192. Now 14 x 14 is 196 oso that's close. But 14 pixels on one side of an inch is pretty low res. A 17 inch display with res of 1280x1024 is prolly about 15 inches wide so 1280 / 15 = 85 pixels. 85 x 85 = 7225 pixels or 7225 dpi.

My laptop is 15.4", 1920x1200; that's about 13" wide, which means ~148 PPI; sorta close, but I've never heard of anything higher. Everyone always exclaims how small this is to start with, so why would you want that much higher resolution? You can't pick out the individual pixels without sticking your eyes right by the screen.

Wait, that's in one dimension.... if it's pixels per SQUARE inch like Dman was looking at, mine is 21,904/in.^2.
