Should that not be Find A Drug?

Hmmm...That's a toughie as I've done so many jobs, but if I had to guess, I'd say somewhere between 600 and 800. But yeah, there's always the chance for tons of hits with some of the longer jobs, and that means more chances to find a molecule that'll give you a certificate for anti-<insert target here>!

I'm pretty sure he's talking about Find-a-Drug, for those who might be confused about F@H and hits.

Yeah, I think it's FaD, the GUI version of F@H doesn't look anything like that IIRC.

i voted on this poll and have since had a higher hit rate on a unit than i had voted on, what on earth does the amount of hits correspond to anyhow? is higher better? i assume it is but what is a "hit" exactly? sorry to hijack but this thread is the closest thing i could find without actually starting a new thread....

Taken from the FaD FAQ:

This is a molecule which is predicted to interact or bind with the protein receptor.

More hits is better from a science point of view. You do not get extra points though for extra hits. In theory, points are awarded purely on a CPU rating x CPU time formula. I say "in theory" as there are some discussions and analysis occuring which shown that the CPU rating is not always 100% accurate.

well for me, my personal goal is to get a certificate to show that i contributed to a worthwhile cause :) dont get me wrong, i love stats, but it would be 100 times more gratifying to me to garner a certificate. dunno just would make me feel better

is that close enough to qualify for 200 hits? 98.1 TFlops takes forever on a PIII 800 Laptop...
