IQ tests could also be culturally biased. Memory is only one aspect of intelligence since it is only the information gathering stage. WHAT you do with that information ( as in comprehension, abtraction, basically how you play with that info) is what makes a person very smart. There is also the debate whether speed in processing information is indicative of high intelligence. There is no doubt that speed helps in survival but this is more dependent on the society.

I got tested several years ago. 112. I'm not a smart man, but I know what love is. :D

BTW, I've known some really smart people, but they don't have a clue about when to take out the trash.

Could be. "If Australian aboriginal designed an IQ-test, entire western civilization would flunk it".

Boris claimed to have a technique which allowed him access to an energy source. He taught Sarah, then William how to access and manage this source of abundant energy.
Damn, think this is true? I must say i believe him, his kid really was different.

Its fun when people spout out bullshit like this. First off all, IQ is a relative measure of intelligence, not an absolute one. That is you are ranked compared to everybody else. The method of ranking is a normal distribution with a mean of 100 and a standard distribution of 15. That means, doing a bit of math.

Assuming 6 billion people on this planet, you would expect roughly 1000 in the entire world to have a IQ 6 SD's above the norm, that is 190. How nice that one of them has chosen us to grace us with his presence. If we go up to 7 SD's There are approximatly 3 people who have an IQ over 205. That is assuming that everybody in the world was tested. I am willing to be that less that 0.1% of the world have had a comprehensive WAIS IQ test which means that it is not even theoretically possible to get a 195 on an IQ test. My puny little calculator cannot even calculate 10 SD's let alone over 13 but rest assured, NOBODY could have an IQ of 250-300

Depends a bit on the reasoning behind the question, would have to see the rest of the test too.

Your reasoning for picking "M"?

In any case, it doesn't matter, cuz it's not "M".

Also, this is a stand-alone question. No need to see the rest of the test.

Change letters into numbers:
A | E | G | L | P | S
1 | 5 | 7 | 12 | 16 | 19

Differences between the nrs:
16 7 19 12 1 5
8 12 7 11 4

8-12, 7-11, 4 is 3 less again so 4,8. 5+8=13, which corresponds with M.

uh...16-7=9, not 8 so you fail the IQ test automatically. ;)

Actually, let me change one of the letters, although it shouldn't make any difference.

P G S L W E _

I agree. I have a HORRIBLE memory, but I think that most of the time my ability to logically thinks things out makes me smarter than most people. I know people in the computer field that when taught how to do something, they can easily repeat it... but if they're taught it wrong, then they repeat wrong, without ever questioning it. People I work with are like this, I've spend the last 10 months arguing with them on various topics because they will not look at a problem in a different perception.

I wish a had a good memory. :( It would help so much...
