Highest FSB on KT133a???

Hey guys,

at what FSB do you run your KT133a board?

I cannot get mine (Asus A7V133) to run at FSB higher than 135 MHz although my Micron Ram runs stable as a rock at 150MHz. What can I do? Does better cooling the northbridge help?

mine runs at 150fsb... but the northbridge is bloody hot.... and it doesn't help that my MSI K7T Turbo doesn't have a fan on the northbridge... only a heatsink.... i'm trying to think of a way to modify it and hopefully then i can get a higher fsb

On my A7V (the non a one 🙁 ) the north bridge's heatsink is attached with clips that go to the back.. I think that you can just unclip these, get some thermal glue and stick on a blue orb chip cooler.. that should help maybe..
I will do this eventually.. just for fun.. but I'm going to use this nice old turqoise 486 HSF on it.. should look pretty nice..

I have a KT7A-R week 49 northbridge(the bad week so I hear). I run 24/7 @ 150FSB CL2. I've had it running stable up to 155FSB, but haven't tried higher. Since then I've lapped and aplied Arctic Silver to stock HSF. I believe I heard that 160FSB is about the max on the KT133A chip. I think tomorrow I'll see just how high I can get my FSB to go, and I'll post back with the results.
