Highest data transfer speeds for USB wireless adapters

Need a USB wireless adapter for an older DESKTOP computer.

Who (brand & model) makes a USB wireless adapter with the HIGHEST data transfer rate (note: needs to be compatible with a US Cellular Hotspot - 4g).

For a hot spot, you selection is basically "any." Local wireless will always be limited by the hot spots connection to US Cellular.

I am talking about the transfer rate betwee the Hotspot and the desktop computer.

Are you saying that there would be no difference in connectivity speed regardless of what brand, model or transfer rate that the USB wireless adapter was rated at / capable of ?

No, I have no idea since I am asking this about a friend's computer. I use Verizon DSL, so I don't really have any knowledge as to what speed these devices communicate at. But friend's wireless ISP is US Cellular, location is Bedford, Virginia.

As long as you use something above 802.11b, which hasn't been that common for 8-9 years now, the speed of the 4g pod will be far slower than any wireless NIC you can buy. With US Cellular, even the older 802.11b might be fine.
